I Will Survive now available on Kindle

I wrote about the e-book I Will Survive: Personal gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender stories in Singapore last year, and got a chance to read it a few months ago. Editor Leow Yangfa collected stories from LGBT Singaporeans of many different ages, ethnicities, classes, genders, and sexual orientations. He also included stories from Singaporeans abroad and foreigners living in Singapore.

It is by no means an upbeat, fun read. Most of the stories are sobering and tragic, though nearly all end with a message of hope. This is a big step forward for the LGBT community in a country where they are still fighting for fundamental rights.

The e-book is now available in e-book stores in a number of countries, including Amazon US***
. Leow’s portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Pelangi Pride Centre and Oogachaga.
